Live Scan Fingerprinting Services

Live Scan is electronic fingerprinting. Instead of ink and paper, your fingerprints are captured digitally and transmitted securely to the requesting agency — which is faster and far less prone to rejection than ink cards.

Opening soon — appointments can be booked online now.

When you need Live Scan

  • Employment screening and onboarding
  • Professional licensing (nursing, real estate, insurance, contractors and more)
  • Childcare, school and education clearances
  • Volunteer and background-check requirements
  • Adoption and foster care applications

How the appointment works

  • Bring your paperwork. A valid photo ID plus the form from your agency showing the ORI and OCA numbers.
  • Capture. Your prints are scanned electronically — no ink, no mess.
  • Submission. We transmit your prints to the agency listed on your form.
  • Timing. Most appointments take 10–20 minutes.

Live Scan or FD-258 — which do you need?

Your agency decides. If your form has ORI and OCA numbers and mentions electronic submission, you need Live Scan. If the agency asked for a physical fingerprint card — common for the FBI, out-of-state agencies and ATF — you need FD-258 cards. If you are unsure, bring your paperwork and we will read it with you.
